About Kara Baker
Hi, I'm Kara Baker. I'm really good at translating communications challenges into artful stories/content that help to promote brands and businesses.
I bring a strong ability to generate ideas and spot opportunities in trends that help my clients motivate their customers, and I do this in a real-world way, not by just dreaming up concepts, but by doing the hard work of problem solving, working with teams, and demonstrating leadership.
I'm experienced and accomplished in all phases of the creative process - from ideation to pitching, from creating budgets to working within them, from negotiation to client interaction, and I have a proven track record on high profile projects.
Please check out the case studies below to see the ways I can help build and strengthen your business.

You've got big goals. I'll make sure you reach them.

Tribeca Film Festival.
At Tribeca Studios, I served as a Creative Content Producer for our brand partners. Luckily, all the brands we worked with were exceptional, and trusted me to deliver well-told stories to represent their philosophies. For example, Bai wanted their 2018 content to focus on music. We helped to find the talented filmmakers to make this work, and my role was to support and facilitate these storytellers create and deliver a polished product that spotlights the brand on an incredibly tight deadline. The results speak for themselves.

Content & Social Media for Robert Zur
Robert Zur is a small, family-run company specializing in luxurious TrueGlove leather loafers and handbags. When they wanted to make a video that helped to amplify the beauty of their product, and feature the values and attention to detail that can only flourish in a small creative company, they hired myself and Christian Svanes Kolding to tell their story.
I also arrange and photograph all of the social media images for the company. This experience has helped me sharpen my skills at finding creative solutions on a tight budget.
Content & Social Media for NYC's Four Freedoms Park
The Four Freedoms Park conservancy is an interesting case study. The Park resonates with three different audiences:
History-lovers, as a monument to FDR and his iconic Four Freedoms speech.
Architecture aficionados, as a testament to Louis Khan, the park’s renowned architect (who died 38 years before the park was built).
All the people who appreciate the beautiful location and natural beauty of this lesser known gem in New York State’s state park system.
I was recently brought on board by the park’s conservancy as a social media specialist to help spread the word about this jewel of a state park. I spend the majority of my time focused on photography of the park, and increasing visitor engagement.
